Biography

Well, I've written five books - four for women and one for everybody! (Check out my Books Page). I also have a master's degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and taught high school theatre and theology before taking a position at our own Catholic college down the road a stretch, Marian University, teaching introductory and upper level theology classes. Somewhere along the line I ran a pro-life chastity outreach program in Cincinnati, taught Natural Family Planning for a few years, served as a missionary with the National Evangelization Team, helped run a theology on tap program and a youth ministry program, worked with the Pontifical Council for the Family for the World Meeting of Families, and served as a delegate for the Pontifical Council for the Laity's vatican seminar on St. John Paul II's letter 'On the Dignity and Vocation of Women.' I've written I don't know how many articles for periodicals like Catholic Digest and First Things and The National Catholic Register. I also wrote those Gospel reflections - from Liturgical Publications (LPi) that show up in your bulletin - for enough years to make it through the liturgical cycle plus one. I've done radio and tv interviews on EWTN and Relevant Radio (see a few clips on my Speaking Page) and I've spoken about the beauty of the Catholic faith to thousands of people of all ages at churches, universities, conferences, retreats and schools. I was homeschooled for a few years and I homeschool a few of my kids now. Many moons ago, I won the American College Theatre Festival Award for Best Actress - little did I know then that I was meant to be on stage for a much greater purpose! Oh, did I mention that I met Pope Francis? He prayed over my daughter... Now that's a great story!
